More Snow for Mount Shasta

Benefiting from a string of snowstorms that has stocked its slopes, the north state ski park has the deepest snow base of any ski hill in the country, according to a pair of powder-watching Web sites. The ski park had a base of 190 inches at the bottom and 233 inches up top Saturday with more snow falling in the latest storm. Meanwhile, some normally snow-rich resorts, such as Heavenly and Northstar near Lake Tahoe, have bases below 100 inches, according to SnoCountry.com and SkiReport.com.
